Fumed oak

Botanical name: Quercus Pedunculata
Origin: Europe

The fuming reacts with the acid in the older mature wood, changing the colour to various shades of grey-brown to almost black, sometimes it is slightly streaked lighter or darker. It should be noted that the sapwood remains unaffected by the process.

Trendy look with beautiful light and shadow effect as well as nice straight grain, through fumigation light and aging resistant, more elastic and better workable than untreated wood. Fumigation process develops brown to deep chocolate tones.
Fumed eucalyptus

Origin: Australia, Spain

The fumigation process turns the color into a durable dark brown or dark blue/black with impressing shimmer and three dimensional optic. Combined with a figure pattern ( fiddleback, pommele etc) fumed Eucalyptus presents a highly attractive variation.
Fumed acacia Robinier

Botanical name: Robinia pseudo acacia
Origin:North America, North Africa

Greyish when it is freshly cut, it turns nice green bronze colour after fumigation process.

The process used in creating fumed wood veneer turns light colours into warm rich chocolate browns. The wood is placed in a special chamber where it goes through a “fumigation process”. There are only certain types of wood that are suitable for this process. They are tannic acid containing woods such as oak and larch.
